At Rosetta we like to share our knowledge through teaching. We keep giving lectures or leading workshops in our home countries as well as abroad. Besides that, it is always exciting to get surprising questions from students and see their own way of thinking about typefaces.
A few weeks ago, David did a little Rosetta tour de United Kingdom while visiting Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design and the Department of Typography and Graphic Communication at the University of Reading.
The one-day visit was completely devoted to MA Typeface design students. The presentation of Rosetta Type Foundry concepts and some of our works (released as well as unreleased typefaces) continued with several notes on how to draw perfect Bézier curves and concluded with a type-crit session focussed on diacritics.
Big thanks to both schools for having us and introducing us to their wonderful students. The Rosetta team hopes to do similar workshops on a regular basis. Let us know if you are interested.
