Samica is a series of multilingual and interdisciplinary books with contributions to the languages, literatures, and cultures in Sápmi, the settlement area of the Saami between Finland, Norway, Sweden and Russia.
Grüße aus Lappland and Johan Turi are just two titles from the much bigger series. The first one being a 180-page statement against the homogenization of Nordic countries. The second describes the life of Johan Turi, a wolf hunter and reindeer keeper who dreams of publishing a book. He is considered the first Sami-speaking author. Both publications make an extensive use of our typeface Skolar.
